Architect: | Guy Stansfeld Architects |
Client: | Dalai Llama |
Commissioned for the Dalai Lama, the brief was to create an oasis of peace and reflection in the grounds of the Imperial War Museum working with Sculptor, Hamish Horsley and Architect Guy Stansfeld.
Large blocks of stone were installed on dowels and secured to allow the intricate patterned surfaces to be carved 'in-situ'.
We designed delicately structured pergolas in steel and timber to surround the installation with a living screen.
